Mounting
Mounts and brackets for the Samsung QMC, by size
The mistakes we see are always the same two: a bracket bought for the TV size instead of the VESA pattern, and a bracket rated for the panel's weight with no margin. This table fixes both.
QMC VESA pattern and weight, every size
| Model | VESA | Panel weight | Bracket rated for at least | Depth | Crew |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QM32C | 100 x 100 mm | 11.5 lb | 25 lb | 1.1" | 1 |
| QM43C | 200 x 200 mm | 19.4 lb | 40 lb | 1.1" | 1 |
| QM50C | 200 x 200 mm | 26 lb | 55 lb | 1.1" | 1 |
| QM55C | 200 x 200 mm | 34.6 lb | 70 lb | 1.1" | 1 |
| QM65C | 400 x 300 mm | 47.4 lb | 95 lb | 1.1" | 2 |
| QM75C | 400 x 400 mm | 73.6 lb | 150 lb | 1.1" | 2–3 |
| QM85C | 600 x 400 mm | 92.4 lb | 185 lb | 1.1" | 2–3 |
| QM98C | 600 x 400 mm | 124.1 lb | 250 lb | 1.9" | 2–3 |
VESA, weight and depth from Samsung's data. "Rated for" is our own rule: twice the panel weight, rounded up. Crew is how many people we send.
Which kind of bracket
Fixed (flat): what we use most. The QMC is 1.1 inches deep, and a low-profile fixed bracket keeps the whole thing under 2.5 inches off the wall. Make sure there's a gap for the rear power and HDMI connectors, or use right-angle cables.
Tilt: for screens mounted above 7 feet, like menu boards over a tall counter. Five to ten degrees down cuts ceiling-light glare a lot.
Portrait: needs a bracket that lists portrait use. Janie and Jack's QM55Cs hang this way on ceiling and recessed wall mounts; Herman Miller's QM75C hangs on cables.
Articulating arms: avoid on anything over 55 inches unless the wall has steel blocking. A fully extended arm puts several times the panel weight on the top bolts.
The wall matters more than the bracket
Wood studs: two lag bolts per stud, into at least two studs on anything 43 inches and up. Metal studs: toggle bolts rated for the load, spread across two or more studs, or add plywood blocking behind the drywall if the wall is open. Masonry: sleeve anchors, and drill out of the mortar joints.
Check the power and data before the bracket goes up. A recessed box behind the screen keeps the plug from pushing the panel off the wall. Run Ethernet now, even if you plan on Wi-Fi.
DisplayDetails doesn't list mounts on the store, but we quote the right one with any QMC order. If you'd rather not deal with any of this, CrownTV, our installation team, mounts and wires it for you.
QMC mounting: questions
What VESA pattern does the Samsung QM55C use?
200 × 200 mm. The QM43C and QM50C use the same pattern; the QM32C uses 100 × 100; the QM65C is 400 × 300; the QM75C is 400 × 400; the QM85C and QM98C are 600 × 400.
Does the QMC come with a wall mount?
No. There's no stand or bracket in the box. Order one separately or ask us to quote it with the display.
Can I mount a QMC in portrait?
Yes. Use a bracket that lists portrait use and mount the panel so its rear connectors stay reachable. Set portrait orientation in the panel menu so content isn't sideways.
Can I mount a QMC on drywall?
Only into studs or blocking. For 65" and up we use at least two studs and, on metal studs, toggle anchors rated for the load. Never hang a QMC on drywall anchors alone.
Does the QM98C fit the same bracket as the QM85C?
Both use 600 × 400 VESA, but the QM98C weighs 124 lb against the QM85C's 92 lb. Check the bracket's weight rating, not just the pattern.
