Where the QM43C fits
The 43 is the menu-board size. Pressed Juicery runs five QMC 43s in a row above the counter in each store we did for them, each one with its own zone of content, all updated from one dashboard. Five 43s side by side make a 16-foot run (each panel is 38.2 inches wide), which is about what a typical counter can hold.
Why not one big screen? Menus change by section. Breakfast comes off at 11, a sold-out item gets pulled, a promo runs on one screen only. Separate panels let you do that without redesigning a whole wall. They also fail separately. If one 43 dies you swap one $780 panel, not a $4,750 85.
Samsung's data puts the QM43C at 500 nits, 24/7, with an IPS panel. IPS matters here: customers read menu boards from an angle as they walk down the line, and IPS holds color better off-axis than the VA panels on the 55 and up. The trade-off is contrast (1200:1 vs 4000:1 on the VA sizes), which you'll notice on a dark menu design in a dim room. Bright backgrounds hide it.
From a counter 10 feet back, 43 inches is the smallest size where a price line in 1-inch type stays readable. If the line forms 15 feet away, go to the 50 or 55. At 19.4 lb, one installer hangs it. Five on a wall is a half-day job for two people, most of it spent leveling the row.

Is the QM43C IPS or VA?
Samsung lists the QM43C (and QM50C) as IPS. The 55" and larger QMC panels are VA. IPS keeps color steadier when viewed from the side, which suits a menu read by a moving line.
Can the QM43C stay on 24/7?
Yes. Samsung rates the QM43C for 24/7 operation at 500 nits.
What VESA pattern does the QM43C use?
